PORTLAND, Ore. – “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.” This is the oath of all Special Olympics participants. After a six year hiatus, this oath will be repeated once again on November 15-16, 2014 at the Special Olympics Oregon Fall State Games. The Fall State Games were suspended due to economic hardship after 2008 but are returning thanks in part to the generous support from Providence Health & Services and the Portland Timbers.
PORTLAND, Ore. – Teams representing the Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire & Rescue will square off in a special “Rose City United” charitable match, hosted by the Portland Timbers, at Providence Park on Thursday, Sept. 11, it was announced today. The match, which kicks off at 7 p.m. (Pacific) is free and open to the public with a suggested donation at the gate.

The 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game pits the MLS All-Stars, led by Timbers head coach Caleb Porter, against five-time European champions Bayern Munich at Providence Park in Portland on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific), live on ESPN2 and UniMás.

It's like having two MLS All-Star Games in one week.
Two days before the AT&T MLS All-Star Game between the best players in MLS and German champions Bayern Munich in Portland (August 6 on ESPN2, UniMas, TSN and RDS), the first-ever Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game will be played and the roster was officially unveiled on Wednesday.
The match, which will take place on August 4 at 7pm PT and will be streamed live on WatchESPN and MLSsoccer.com, will feature a group of 20 of the top MLS Homegrown players facing the Portland Timbers U-23s at Providence Park. Fans can secure free tickets to the game by clicking here. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis and quantities are limited.
The Portland Timbers will begin play in Group 5 of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League tournament on the road against Guyanese side Alpha United FC on Tuesday, Aug. 19, it was announced today as CONCACAF unveiled the competition’s full group-stage schedule.
Following a tournament-opening road match, Portland will play host to home games against Honduran side Club Deportivo Olimpia on Tuesday, Sept. 16, and Alpha United FC on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Providence Park. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. (Pacific).
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers today announced that single-game tickets for the final eight home matches of the 2014 regular season at Providence Park are on sale now.
Beginning with a home match against Sporting Kansas City on Friday, June 27, the final eight matches of the regular-season schedule are highlighted by games against Seattle Sounders FC on Aug. 24, Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Sept. 20 and Real Salt Lake on Oct. 17.

Defending-NWSL champion Thorns FC, which opens the season with back-to-back road games, will square off against FC Kansas City on Saturday, April 26, in the home opener at JELD-WEN Field; kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. (Pacific).
