JELD-WEN Field and Portland State University football will be featured in the first of 10 regionally televised games this fall on ROOT SPORTS as part of the network’s Big Sky Conference Game of the Week series. The Portland State Vikings will play host to Cal Poly – their second home game of the season – on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. on ROOT SPORTS.

The Vikings will be facing a 2012 NCAA playoff team in Cal Poly, who beat the Vikings 37-25 in San Luis Obispo last season. The Mustangs are coached by former PSU head coach Tim Walsh.

In total, the Vikings will make three appearances on the ROOT SPORTS Big Sky Conference Game of the Week, including Portland State's following game, an Oct. 5 contest at Montana and the team’s Nov. 23 game at Eastern Washington.

Portland State opens their 2013 season Saturday, Sept. 7, at the University of California. The Vikings will make their 2013 home debut at JELD-WEN Field on Saturday, Sept. 14, against Humboldt State. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.

All Big Sky Conference games and Portland State home games are available via live video streaming online at www.BigSkyTV.org. Other Portland State radio and television broadcast information will be announced later this summer.
