PORTLAND, Ore. – As part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, June 14, at Providence Park, the Portland Timbers will play host to the San Jose Earthquakes in the fourth round of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific) and T2 will play host to Seattle Sounders FC 2 at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific), with one ticket gaining admission to both the Timbers U.S. Open Cup match and T2 game.
PORTLAND, Oregon – Providence Park, home of the 2015 MLS Cup Champion Portland Timbers, will host a very exciting Mexican Premier League (Liga MX) match between two of the country’s most beloved teams, Chivas de Guadalajara and Club León. The match is scheduled for Saturday, March 26 at 7 PM PT. This will be the first time that these two First Division teams play in the Pacific Northwest. Both squads feature players with international experience who have represented there countries of origin with minutes played on their national teams.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Alejandra Alvarado, a 16 year-old junior at Grant High School, has been a part of the Boys and Girls Club for most of her life. Still, she was surprised when her brother, a Boys and Girls Club employee, told her about an internship opportunity through a program called YouthForce.
“There's an interview for a job for teens. You're going. I don't care what you say. That's what you're going to do,” Alejandra remembers her brother telling her and her sister Andrea.
The sisters were skeptical. “What's it about?” they asked.
“You have an opportunity to internship with the Timbers,” he replied.
On Thursday, the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) unveiled its logo for the league's championship match at Providence Park.

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that the 2015 NWSL Championship match will be played on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Providence Park in Portland, Ore. The championship match will kick off at 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT with a national television broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
PORTLAND, Ore. – Teams representing the Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire & Rescue will square off in the second-annual “Rose City United” charitable match, presented by the Portland Timbers, at Providence Park on Saturday, Sept. 12, it was announced today. The match, which kicks off at 11 a.m. (Pacific), is free and open to the public with a suggested donation at the gate.
PORTLAND, Ore. – In conjunction with Major League Soccer and ESPN2, the Portland Timbers announced today that the kickoff time for the club’s match on Sunday, July 5, against the San Jose Earthquakes at Providence Park has been moved to 8 p.m. (Pacific) due to a heat advisory and unusually high temperatures forecast for the Portland area over the weekend. The match, originally scheduled for 2 p.m., will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.
PORTLAND, Ore. – The National Women’s Soccer League and FOX Sports announced today an agreement to broadcast 10 NWSL matches this season, including four Portland Thorns FC home games at Providence Park.
Portland’s final two regular-season home matches against the Chicago Red Stars on Sunday, Aug. 9, and Sunday, Aug. 30, against the Washington Spirit will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1. Both matches have been moved to 6:30 p.m. (Pacific) for live television from their originally scheduled times of 7 p.m. (Pacific) and 6 p.m. (Pacific), respectively.
